    Foliage strigulose with straight subappressed hairs up to 0.4-0.6 mm, the vesture of inflorescence a little looser and rusty; lvs 16-20 cm; lfts 8-9 pairs, up to 2.8-4.8 x 1.2-2 cm, obovate or elliptic-obovate obtuse mucronulate, the 6-8 pairs of secondary veins and sometimes the tertiary venulation of mature blades finely prominulous above; outer sepals 3.5-4.5 mm, the inner ones only thinly pubescent dorsally 6-7 mm; 4 petals 13.5-15 mm, the odd one 15-17 mm; anthers thinly pilosulous toward apex with weak hairs up to ±0.4 mm; ovary glabrous; style ±3 mm; pod unknown.-Collections: 3.

    Rocky hillsides and stream banks, in drought-deciduous brush-woodland, 140-500 m, local, known only from the Pacific foothills in Colima (mun. Coquimuatlan) and s.-w. Michoacan (mun. Aquila) in s.-w. Mexico.-Fl. X-I.
