Miller) var. valens Irwin & Barneby, var. nov., a var. pentagonia florum multo majorum sepalo maximo 13-15 (nec 7-9) mm usque longo, petalo longissimo 21-30 (nec 11-15) mm longo, anther- isque staminum abaxialium trium longius rostratis, rostro tubuloso 2-poroso 4-5 (nec 1-2) mm longo absimilis.—BRAZIL. Francisco to the e. in lat. 7°-15°30'S, s. Maranhao, e.-centr. Goias and w. Bahia.—Fl. II-V.
