  Planta rastrera extendida de flores amarillas conspicuas y frutos en cápsulas dehiscentes con dos espinas. Crece en las arenas de las playas de San Juan y del oeste en Puerto Rico y la Isla de Mona. Está distribuida en los trópicos de ambos hemisferios. Extended creeping plant of conspicuous yellow flowers and fruits in dehiscent capsules with two thorns. It grows in the sands of beaches of San Juan and the West of Puerto Rico and the Island of Mona. It is distributed in the Tropics of both Hemispheres.
