  Bejuco leñoso trepador que alcanza 60 pies de extensión. Posee tallo lobulado con zarcillos que le ayudan a enredarse, hojas compuestas coriáceas con el margen dentado y flores pequeñas blancuzcas pubescentes. Los tallos se han utilizado para hacer canastas y artesanías. Se puede encontrar en las orillas de los bosques y carreteras, áreas secas y húmedas en elevaciones bajas y medias de Puerto Rico. Está distribuido en La Española y las Islas Vírgenes. Climbing ligneous reed that reaches 60 feet of extension. It has a lobed stem, leathery compound leaves with dented margin, tendrils to entangle, and small whitish pubescent flowers. The stems have been used to weave baskets and make crafts. It can be observed along the borders of forests and highways at low and medium elevations in dry and humid areas of Puerto Rico. It is distributed in Hispaniola and the Virgin Islands.
