• Description

  Árbol siempre verde de 20 pies de altura y 4 pulgadas de diámetro en el tronco. Las hojas pequeñas pareadas tiesas terminan en una espina afilada esbelta, las flores blancas solitarias se localizan en la base de las hojas y los frutos redondos son de color negruzco o violeta. Se puede encontrar en bosques de la baja Cordillera Central y laderas de serpentinas en las montañas del oeste de Puerto Rico. Está distribuido en La Española. Evergreen tree of 20 feet of height and 4 inches of diameter in the trunk. The stiff small twin leaves end in a sharpened svelte thorn, the solitary white flowers are located at the base of the leaves, and the round fruits are of blackish or violet color. It can be observed in the forests of the low Central Mountain range and in slopes of serpentine mountains of the West of Puerto Rico. It is distributed in Hispaniola.
