  Árbol pequeño siempre verde bien ramificado de 15 pies de altura y 3 pulgadas de diámetro en el tronco. Se reconoce por las hojas pequeñas pegajosas lustrosas, ramitas erectas esbeltas, flores fragrantes pequeñas blancas tubulares y frutos negros carnosos. Es común en los bosques calizos secos, Cordillera Central y playas de las regiones oeste y suroeste de Puerto Rico y las Islas de Mona, Caja de Muerto y Vieques. Está distribuido en las Antillas. Small well-grafted evergreen tree of fifteen feet of height and 3 inches of diameter in the trunk. It is recognized by shiny small sticky leaves, straight small svelte branches, fragrant small tubular white flowers, and black fleshy fruits. It is common in the dry calcareous forests of the low Central Mountain range, in beaches the West and Southwest of regions of Puerto Rico and the Islands of Mona, Caja de Muerto, and Vieques. It is distributed in the Antilles.
