  Árbol siempre verde de 25 pies de altura y 6 pulgadas de diámetro en el tronco. Posee ramas esbeltas, ejes florales terminales esbeltos colgantes de flores pequeñas blancuzcas o verdosas y frutos ovoides carnosos. Esta especie endémica crece silvestre en bosques de las costas húmedas y baja Cordillera Central en Puerto Rico. Evergreen tree of 25 feet of height and 6 inches of diameter in the trunk. It has svelte branches, svelte and hanging terminal floral axes of whitish or greenish small flowers, and ovate fleshy fruits. This species is endemic and grows wild in forests of the humid coasts and the low Central Mountain range in Puerto Rico.
