  Orquídea terrestre que se identifica por las hojas angostas cuyo ancho disminuye de la base hacia el ápice, inflorescencia pubescente y flores muy juntas de colores que van desde castaño cobrizo a rosado salmón y casi rojo. Se puede encontrar a orillas de carreteras, pastizales, campos y regiones húmedas desde el nivel del mar hasta elevaciones medias en Puerto Rico. Está distribuida en las Antillas, Florida, México, América Central y del Sur. Terrestrial orchid that is identified by the narrow leaves with width diminishing at the base towards the apex, pubescent inflorescence, and clustered flowers of colors that range from copper chestnut, pink salmon to almost red. It can be found along borders of highways, in thickets, and humid regions from sea level to medium elevations. It is distributed in the Antilles, Florida, Mexico, and Central and South America.
