  Bejuco que trepa mediante zarcillos alcanzando 18 pies de extensión. Posee hojas trilobuladas más anchas que largas, flores blancuzcas y frutos redondeados de color violeta oscuro. Toda la planta tiene pubescencia. Se puede encontrar en zonas húmedas, bosques y malezas en elevaciones medias y altas de Puerto Rico. Está distribuido en las Antillas Mayores, Florida y México. Reed that climbs by means of tendrils and reaches 18 feet of extension. It has tri lobed leaves wider than longer, whitish flowers, and round fruits of dark violet color. All the plant has pubescence. It can be found in humid zones, forests, and thickets at medium and high elevations of Puerto Rico. It is distributed in the Greater Antilles, Florida and Mexico.
