  Arbusto de 3 pies de alto con ramitas delgadas rojizas vellosas, hojas lanceoladas u ovadas sésiles rígidas, flores en panículas con pétalos blancos o rosados y frutos en bayas. Crece en colinas, rocas escarpadas y zonas húmedas montañosas en elevaciones medias del centro y oeste de Puerto Rico. Está distribuido en La Española. Shrub of 3 feet of height with small thin reddish villous branches, rigid sessile lance shaped or ovate leaves, flowers in panicles with white or pink petals, and fruits in berries. It grows in hills, escarped rocks at medium and humid elevations of mountains of the center and the West of Puerto Rico. It is distributed in Hispaniola.
