  Arbusto ramificado de 3 pies de alto con tallo erecto, flores terminales amarillas, frutos en cápsulas y semillas negras. Esta planta puede producir fitofotodermatitis. Se encuentra en suelos arenosos en elevaciones bajas ascendiendo a zonas altas de Puerto Rico. Está distribuido en el sur y este de Estados Unidos, las Antillas, México y Colombia. Grafted shrub of straight stem of 3 feet of height, yellow terminal flowers, fruits in capsules, and black seeds. This plant can produce phytophotodermatitis. It is found in sandy grounds at low elevations ascending to high zones of Puerto Rico. It is distributed in the South and East of the United States, the Antilles, Mexico, and Colombia.
