  Árbol siempre verde de 26 pies de alto y 4 pulgadas de diámetro en el tronco. Tiene pocas ramas gruesas en la copa, hojas grandes y muchas flores dispuestas en racimos. La madera se ha usado para muebles. Esta especie es autóctona de Puerto Rico y crece en los bosques bajos de la Sierra de Luquillo y Cordillera Central. Evergreen tree of 26 feet of height and 4 inches of diameter in the trunk. It has few heavy branches in the canopy, large leaves, and many flowers arranged in racemes. Its wood has been used for furniture. This species is native of Puerto Rico and grows in the low forests of the Mountain range of Luquillo and the Central Mountain range.
