  Árbol siempre verde de 20 pies de alto y 4 pulgadas de diámetro en el tronco. Se caracteriza por las figuras de candelabros que forman las ramas, vellos en el follaje, hojas con venas características de esta familia y flores blancas pequeñas en racimos. Es una especie poco común en las colinas y montañas de la Sierra de Luquillo y Cordillera Central. Se encuentra también en las Antillas Mayores y América Central. Evergreen tree of 20 feet of height and 4 inches of diameter in the trunk. It is characterized because the branches form figures of candelabra, by the hairs in the foliage, the leaves with characteristic veins of the family, and the white small flowers in racemes. It is an uncommon species, found in hills and mountains of the Mountain range of Luquillo and the Central Mountain range. It is also is in the Greater Antilles and Central America.
