  Árbol de 25 pies de altura, 6 pulgadas de diámetro en el tronco y flores rosadas apiñadas en la base de las hojas. Es una especie poco común en los bosques de las montañas y mogotes de Puerto Rico. Se ha coleccionado en La Española. Tree of 25 feet of height, 6 inches of diameter in the trunk and clustered pink flowers at the base of the leaves. It is an uncommon species found in the forests of mountains and the wooded hills of Puerto Rico. It has been collected in Hispaniola.
