  Arbusto de hojas simples y ramilletes de flores fragantes que en tiempos antiguos era cultivado como ornamental. Se ha naturalizado y crece a orillas de carreteras y campos de Puerto Rico. Nativo de Asia se ha distribuido por cultivo en las Antillas. Shrub of simple leaves, racemes of fragrant flowers that in the past was cultivated like an ornamental. It has become naturalized and it grows to along borders highways and fields of Puerto Rico. A native of Asia, it is distributed by cultivation in the Antilles.
