  Bejuco trepador que puede comportarse como un arbusto alcanzando 30 pies de longitud. Tiene hojas coriáceas y flores amarillas en ramilletes. Crece silvestre en bosques, pastizales, riberas de ríos y terrenos húmedos de elevaciones medias y bajas de Puerto Rico. Está distribuido en las Antillas Mayores y Centro América. Climbing reed that can behave as a shrub and reach thirty feet of length. It has leathery leaves and yellow flowers in racemes. It grows wild in forests, thickets, along shores of rivers, and in humid terrains at medium and low elevations of Puerto Rico. It is distributed in the Greater Antilles and America Center.
