  Bejuco trepador o rastrero que puede medir 15 pies de extensión. Posee hojas compuestas, flores amarillas numerosas pequeñas en racimos y frutos como legumbres que abren al secarse. Crece en pastizales y maleza de elevaciones bajas y medias de Puerto Rico y las Islas de Mona, Vieques y Culebra. Está distribuido en las Antillas y América Tropical. Climbing or creeping reed that can measure fifteen feet of extension. It has compound leaves, numerous yellow small flowers in racemes, and fruits like a legume that opens when dry. It grows in thickets and weeds at low and medium elevations of Puerto Rico and the Islands of Mona, Vieques and Culebra. It is distributed in the Antilles and Tropical America.
