  Árbol siempre verde de 20 a 30 pies de altura y 6 pulgadas de diámetro en el tronco. Se reconoce por tener copa cónica grisácea, flores blancas extendidas dispuestas en racimos y frutos en forma de bayas. La madera se ha usado para postes de cercas. Esta especie se puede observar en terrenos deforestados y bosques de la zona caliza húmeda en el norte y oeste de Puerto Rico y la Isla de Vieques. Su distribución se extiende a La Española e Islas Vírgenes. Evergreen tree of 20 to 30 feet of height and 6 inches of diameter in the trunk. It is characterized for a conical and grayish canopy, white extended flowers arranged in racemes, and fruits in the shape of berries. The wood has been used for posts of fences. This species can be found in deforested lands and in the forests of the humid calcareous zone in the North and the West of Puerto Rico and Island of Vieques. Its distribution extends to Hispaniola and the Islands Virgins.
