  A flower after the corolla and androecium have been removed from Grias cauliflora based on Reinaldo Aguilar 13557 fromfrom the Osa Peninsula, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica. The corolla and androecium were eaten by metalmark butterfly larvae (Rodinideae).
