Description

Bumble bee pollination of Gentiana linearis based on Mori et al. 27467 from St. Lawrence Co., New York. Note the bee seeking a nectar reward at the base of this bottle gentian. The bee brings pollen from one plant to another thereby playing a role in the sexual reproduction of this species.
