Close-up of seeds of Cariniana ianeirensis based on Jardim et al. 4652 from Bahia, Brazil. The seed on the left is 1.6 cm long. Note that the seed is rounded and narrowly carinate on the surace away from the columella (seed on left) and more-or-less flat on the surface facing the columella (seed on right).
