Fruit and seeds of Cariniana ianeirensis based on Jardim et al. 4652 from Bahia, Brazil. Note that the seeds are oriented the way they are attached in the fruit, i.e., at the tip of the seed wing. This image represents a single fruit cut in medial longitudinal section by the collector.
