Description

Base of a fruit of Eschweilera juruensis based on Cornejo & Alvia 8103 from the Yasuní National Park, Orellana, Ecuador. Note the reflexed sepals and angular rachis of the infructescence. Note that the rachis of the inflorescence is green when it is alive, but that it dries black in the preparation of herbarium specimens.
