  Fruit and seed of Lecythis entrerioensis based on Araújo 235 from Bahia, Brazil. The top and bottom images are of the same fruit and operculum taken in different views. Note that the operculum has fallen but the seeds are so large that thin remain trapped in the relatively thin-walled fruit.
