Description
Fruits of Geum canadense based on Mori et al. 28076 from the Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve, Westchester County, New York. This is an apocarpous species so each fruit develops from a single carpel. Note the white trichomes among the bases of the carpels and the bent apices of the style. Some of the carpels have been removed.
