  Immature frtuits of Hackelia virginiana based on S. A. Mori & M. Rothman 28067 from the Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve, Westchester Co., New York. The trichomes have hooked apices which facilitates them to attach themselves to an animal dispersal agent. The fruits are fouir segmented (see fruit at top left).
