Description

Close-up of a medial section of an immature fruit of Gustavia brachycarpa based on Aguilar et al. 8451 from the Osa Peninsula, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Note that the ovules are inserted at the upper part of the septum near the articulation with the operculum. This photo was taken in April 2008 long after the orginal collection was made in February 2004.
