• Description

  Lateral view of a flower of Eschweilera calyculata based on J. Batista et al. 1447 from the Province of Colón, Panama. The petals are densely white punctate and with a white, translucent fringe along their margens. The calyx-lobes are imbricate, gibbous at the bases, and covered by white punctations. The base of the hypanthium is truncate.
