  Sectioned head of Eurybia divaricata based on S. A. Mori & C. A. Gracie 27995 from the Westerchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve, Westchester Co., New York. Note the fruits and filament-like pappus. The disk flowers are yellow when the head is in flower and then turn purple after the head is in flower. The ray flowers on the outside remain white.
