Description
Disk flower of Packera aurea based on S. A. Mori et al. 27940 from the Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve, Westchester Co., New York. The white filaments arising from the top of the ovary make up the pappus (a specialized calyx) and the style bears a bifid stigma with curled apices of each stigmatic lobe. A disk flower is actiomorphic.
