  Longitudinal section of a stem of Vitis labrusca based on Mori & Rothman 27852 from the Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve. The pith is solid between the internodes but each internode is separated from adjacent internodes by a woody septum. From a field collection.
