• Description

  Bark of Quercus velutina based on Mori & Gracie 27770 from the Westchester Wilderness Walk of the Westchester Land Trust, Westchester Co., New York. The bark is fissured and the fissures are more-or-less reticulate. The horizontal crack the ridges into short plaques. Typical black oak bark.
