Description

Leaf base as viewed from the abaxial side of Couratari asterophora based on M. Ribeiro et al. 928 from the state of Espirito Santo, Brazil. Note that there is a hint of leaf striations on the left side of the leaf base. However, leaf striations are usually absent or very difficult to see in this species.
