Description - Fruit narrowly oblong, 4-6 × 2.2-2.5 cm; exocarp minutely lenticellate; mesocarp thin, fleshy; endocarp hard and fibrous, pubescent within. Habitat. It occurs on riverside temporarily flooded forests and upland terra firme.

Distribution
(Fig. 88). This species was described from a single collection from the Department of San Martín, Peru. Recent collections indicate that it is quite common in Loreto Department.
