Description
Description - Plant low, pulvinate; stem branching, covered with the persistent bases of old leaves. Leaves (living) very many, rosulate at the ends of the branches, glabrous; sheaths small, broadly ovate, pale brown, subhyaline; blades spreading, linear, attenuate, 4 cm long, barely 2 mm wide at base, laxly and very minutely serrulate. Inflorescence sessile, few-flowered, glabrous; outer bracts gradually reduced from the leaves. Floral bracts oblong, acute, shorter than the sepals, entire, thin; pedicels short. Sepals free, linear, acute, 14 mm long, the posterior ones carinate; petals yellow; stamens included; ovary superior.
