Description
Description - Dioecious, medium-sized to rather large trees. Leafy twigs 3.5-9 mm thick, light yellow tomentose, hairs partly in tufts. Leaves oblong, sometimes broadest near the upper end, hardly inequilateral, 26-43 cm long, 10-18 cm broad, coriaceous, acuminate, obtuse or emarginate, at the base, entire to faintly repand, except for the tomentose costa glabrescent above, tomentose beneath, hairs on the costa and the secondary veins beneath partly in tufts; veins nearly plane to somewhat impressed above, prominent beneath, 17-21 pairs of secondary veins, most tertiary veins parallel; petioles 10-26 mm long; stipules 10-20 mm long, subsericeous to hirsute. Staminate inflorescences up to 15 together, 7-12 mm in diameter; peduncle 10-15 mm long, tomentellous to densely puberulous; involucre with reniform to deltoid, acute, tomentellous bracts in 3-4 series; perianth 1.8-2.0 mm high, 4-lobed to 4-parted, tomentellous at the upper end; filaments 2.3-3.0 mm long, anthers 0.3-0.4 mm long, ca 0.3 mm broad, connectives broad and shortly apiculate, or less broad and more long-apiculate. Flowering from August to November.

Discussion
This species is readily separable from the other species by the tufts of hairs on the twigs, the petioles, and the leaf veins.
