  Description - A branching annual 20 to 40 em. tall, with thin lanceolate acuminate blades 1 to 2 cm. wide, delicate open panicles 5 to 20 cm. long, and long-pediceled, sparsely hirsute spikelets a little more than 1 mm. long.
