Description
Description - A robust, somewhat succulent perennial the culms as much as 2 cm. thick and 1 to 2 meters tall or more, with long, decumbent or creeping, rooting base, the nodes black in drying ; panicle large and open ; spikelets narrow, acuminate, 4 to 5 mm. long, the first glume about one-fourth as long.
