Description - Low perennial acaulescent herb; leaves clustered in a rosette. shortly petiolate, blades obovate, glabrous, margin entire; flowers borne on lax, multiflowered anisocaulous, elongate dichasia, appearing somewhat racemiform; calyx lobes linear, short-pilose and ciliate; corolla pale blue, 30-50 mm long, basal tube 10-15 mm long, obconic throat 12-15 mm long, lobes reflexed, suborbicular, capsule narrowly elliptic
Phenology - Flowers after the first spring rains, principally from September to December.
