Discussion
In size and general habit, this species is strikingly like C. pusilla ; but the fruit is different ; the nutlets being dissimilar, one of them smooth, and all with rounded lateral angles and more rounded backs. The specimens of our collection are rather young and only two fully developed fruits were found. C. niinwia was found on dry hillsides at an altitude of about 2200 m.
