Description
Species Description - Stem from a deep woody perennial root, stout, 3-4 dm. high, finely grayish-strigose; leaves numerous, especially at the base, long-petioled, grayish-strigose, mostly 5-divided to the base; divisions cuneate, twice 2-3 cleft into broad oblong divisions racemes many-flowered, somewhat branched; pedicels ascending; bractlets linear, 2-4 mm. below the blue calyx; spur stout, horizontal, about one half longer than the petals, slightly curved; upper petals brownish, tipped with blue; seeds unknown.

Discussion
This is evidently nearest related to D. Geycri, but differs by the broad leaf segments and the form and position of the bractlets. Dr. Gray referred it to D. viinincuin, which it resembles very little. Arizona: Charles Valley, 1883, H. H. Rusby.
