Discussion
On bark in coppice, West End, Great Bahama (Brace, April 16-May 8, 1905, S615, type). Parathelium microcarpum has smaller spores than any other species of the genus, with the exception of P. decumbens Muell. Arg. (Hedwigia 32: 134. 1803) which differs from the present species in the whitish thallus and the larger perithecia.
