    Species Description - Rootstock stout, brown-scaly. Leaves 2-10 dm. high; petioles brown, shining, as long as the blades or shorter; blades various in form, rather firm in texture, the finely developed ones broadly triangular, little longer than wide, at least the lower lobes or segments long-acuminate; less developed Naves ovate, the apex long-acuminate; sori usually many, in 2 more or less complete rows parallel with the lateral veins, 2-2.5 mm. in diameter.
