Description
Species Description - Annual, simple or little-branched, erect, 3-10 dm. high, appressed-pubescent, leafy nearly to the base. Leaves flaccid, ovate to lanceolate, repand or entire, acute or obtuse, the lower petioled, 4-7 cm. long, the upper much smaller and sessile; heads numerous, slender-peduneled, in terminal compound leafless cymes; involucre about 3.5 mm. high, its bracts narrowly lanceolate, sharply acuminate, pubescent, the outermost minute; flowers purple; achenes pubescent; pappus white.
