Description
Species Description - An intricately branched, somewhat resinous shrub, 8 dm. high or leas, with gray-brown bark, the young twigs greenish, densely papillose, 4-angled, armed with slender scattered pungent solitary spines 1 cm. long or less. Leaves opposite or fascicled, 2-5 mm. long, thick, papillose, ovate to elliptic, revolute-margined, obtuse, very short-petioled, dark green above, paler beneath; flowers not seen; fruits solitary, oblong to globose, white, soft, 2-4 mm. long.

Coppices and pine-lands, Andros, New Providence and Cat Island. Endemic. Bahama Scolosanthus.
