Description
Species Description - Glabrous or sparingly pubescent, twining, up to 2 m. long or longer, the root sometimes tuberiferous. Leaves ovate, 5-8 cm. long, membranous, acute at the apex, cordate at the base, the slender petioles sometimes half as long as the blades; peduncles as long as the petioles or longer; cymes few-several flowered; pedicels short; sepals oblong, mucronate or aristulate, about 8 mm. long; corolla purple, pink or rarely white, usually with a dark eye, funnel form campanulate, 5-6 cm. long; capsule 2-celled, subglobose, 8-10 mm. in diameter; seeds glabrous.
