Description
Species Description - Culms tufted, slender, glabrous, erect or ascending, simple, 3-10 dm. high. Leaves 5-20 cm. long, 3-8 mm. wide, roughish-margined, with a few hairs at the base of the blade; racemes 2-6, narrow, 10 cm. long or less, erect or spreading; spikelets many, oval, glabrous or pubescent, 1.7-2 mm. long, obtuse.

Moist grounds, Abaco and Great Sturrup Cay to Andros, North Caicos, Grand Turk and Inagua : Cuba to Tortola and Barbadoes ; Jamaica. Referred by Hitchcock to P. nanum C. Wright.
