Description
Species Description - Plants 1.0-1.8 mm wide, green. Leaf lobes imbricate, widely spreading, ovate, apex widely rounded, margins crenate. Cells in midlobe isodiametrical to elongate, 25-30 x 30-40 µm, trigones medium-sized, intermediate thickenings frequently present, 1-2 per wall, cuticle papillose; oil bodies numerous per cell, homogeneous. Lobules small, ca. 1/5 of leaf length, inflated, keel arched, making a sharp angle with ventral margin of lobe, lateral margin involute, apical tooth rounded to elongate. Underleaves undivided reniform, 7-8.5 times stem width, apex recurved, lateral margins plane, entire, bases rounded to auriculate, insertion line deeply arched. Dioicous. Male bracteoles restricted to base of spike. Perianths inflated, keels smooth. Vegetative reproduction lacking.
