    Species Description - Plants ca. 0.5 mm wide. Leaf lobes widely spreading from a narrow base, ovate-falcate and asymmetrical, dorsal margin longer than ventral margin, apex apiculate to short acuminate, ending in a row of 2-3 cells, margins entire or slightly crenulate, lobe surface smooth, dorsal base not auriculate. Cells in midlobe subisodiametrical, 20-25 long, trigones medium-sized, intermediate thickenings scarce; ocelli 2-3, large, in an unbroken row. Lobules ca. 2/5 of leaf length, strongly inflated, short bottle-shaped, apical tooth short-falcate, preapical tooth short, blunt. Underleaves emarginate or short bifid (to 1/4), small, distant, broadly ovate, 2-3 times stem width, lobes and sinus broadly rounded. Dioicous, usually sterile.
