Description
Species Description - Plants 0.8-1.3 mm wide, green to pale brown. Leaf lobes imbricate, subsymmetrical, apex rounded, margins crenulate to slightly toothed, teeth not more than 1 cell long. Cells in midlobe isodiametrical, 20-30 µm, usually thin-walled, without or with small trigones, intermediate thickenings lacking, cuticle smooth. Lobules ovoid, ca. 1/4 of lobe length, inflated, with a sharp, straight or falcate tooth. Underleaves bifid to 1/2 of length, distant, orbicular, 1.5-2 times stem width, margins crenulate or subentire. Dioicous. Gemmae elongate, strap-shaped, with short, marginal rhizoids.
